It’s March, and the temperature is soaring, where would you like to head for the weekend? To the cool waters of Goa – the land of Sea, Sun and Sand !
Stretched over a coastline of 106 kilometres (66 miles) Goa boasts of 32 beaches, freckled with swaying coconut palms.
It has also been called Pearl of the Orient and Rome of the East, signifying its natural beauty.
As per the legend, Goa was called Gomantakesha, created by Parshuram (an avatar of Lord Vishnu) to resemble a winnowing pan. And this was achieved by ordering the mountains to recede and the sea to advance – nature’s wonder ! It was also known as Kashi (Benaras) of the South.
I have listed all the 32 beaches (and some more… which I need to yet confirm) of Goa below, starting from North to South Goa (my goal this year is to visit all of these beaches, as only 6 of which have been explored by me so far…. And will update you all about it)
